Create a Coupon Ad

A coupon ad is a text link ad tied to one of your deals, and is an efficient method to share deals with multiple or all of your partners. Want to share your deals with individual partners with unique crediting logic? Consider using promo codes instead.

Note

Coupon ads, like promo codes, allow customers to receive some type of discount at checkout. However, unlike promo codes, coupon ads do not credit a specific partner or media source

Create a coupon ad

Partners can include your coupon ads in their content to direct customers to your promotions. Partners will only be credited according to the crediting logic configured in your program, e.g., last click attribution.

  1. From the left navigation bar, select [Engage] → Content → Ads.

  2. In the upper-right corner, select Create Ad [Drop-down menu] → Coupon.

  3. Enter a Name for your ad.

  4. In the Link Text field, provide the text that you want to act as an anchor for your link.

  5. Optionally, add a Description to give partners more details about your ad.

  6. If you want to customize the Landing Page to which your ad should redirect, select [Drop-down menu] Custom.

    • [Toggle on] Mobile Fallback to reroute mobile traffic to the app store download page when a user does not have your app installed.

  7. [Toggle on] Metadata if you want to add query parameters to the the ad's tracking link.

  8. Add Labels or keywords to make your ad easily searchable for partners.

  9. [Toggle on] Restrict Partner Access to define which partners and partner groups can use this ad. Search for individual partners in the Search partners field, and use the  [Forward arrow] to give access to partner groups.

  10. Under the Promotional Details section, select a Deal from the [Drop-down menu] or select Add new deal to create a new deal and assign it to your coupon ad.

    • Optionally, add promotional themes to the ad. This allows you to organize your ads by a specific time of year.

  11. Optionally, expand and configure Advanced Settings.

    • Use the [Drop-down menu] to select a target language/demographic for your ad.

    • [Toggle on] Deep Linking to allow partners to link to specific pages within your domain.

    • Select [Checked box] Setup a third-party impression pixel for this ad if you want to use analytics tools to record how users interact with your ad.

  12. Save the ad.

    • To save the ad and make it accessible to partners, select Save.

    • To save the ad without making it live for partners to use immediately, select   [Checked box] Save as a draft.

      • Beside the Save button, you can select the  [Drop-down menu] for additional saving options.
