Two-Factor Authentication FAQs

impact.com requires you to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for logins to your impact.com account. This requirement safeguards your account from irregular login activities and protects your valuable information like brand deals, assets, and more. 2FA secures your account against logins from attackers exploiting weak or stolen credentials.

How does 2FA work?

You can set up 2FA so that any account user signing in to your impact.com account from an unsaved device will be required to log in via 2FA. Upon first signing in, an account member will receive a verification code on their mobile device via SMS, email, or an authentication app.

How will I receive verification codes?

You’ll receive verification codes via one of the following methods:

  • SMS

  • Email

  • Authentication app

Not receiving your 2FA SMS?

Please be patient as sometimes mobile carriers can take a short while to receive the message. However, note that there are certain countries that won’t receive a 2FA SMS. Contact support for help with activating your 2FA if you are in one of the following countries:

  • Afghanistan (+93)

  • Algeria (+213)

  • Angola (+244)

  • Azerbaijan (+994)

  • Bolivia (+591)

Can I avoid signing in with 2FA each time?

Upon signing in with 2FA, account members can choose to save their device as a trusted device—meaning they won’t need to use 2FA on subsequent sign-ins for the next 30 days. Once 30 days have passed, the user will again need to sign in via 2FA, and optionally save their device.

Can I share my login credentials with others?

No. The first person to log in with a shared username/email address and password will be prompted for 2FA. After a successful 2FA login, only that person will be able to log in using those credentials. Anyone else using those credentials can be invited to make their own account by the user with the verified phone number.

Can I opt out of 2FA?

No. You cannot opt out when mandatory 2FA is enabled. You can change your number at any time, but you must verify it first to save the new phone number.

How can I change my phone number for 2FA?

Learn how to add or change your phone number as a partner or a brand.

What if I don’t have a mobile device?

If you do not have a mobile device to verify your identity, you will not be able to log in or create an account on impact.com.

Does 2FA work internationally?
