Search Monitoring Violations for Partners

Search Monitoring violations are notifications from brands alerting you for violating their paid search policy in a specific country and language across search engines. If impact.com discovers any partners bidding on a brand’s keywords, impact.com automatically creates a violation and can have a violation email sent to you, the partner. These violation notices are found in the Tasks section on your dashboard.

Note

impact.com sends two email reminders for violations:

  • 24 hours before the due date

  • 8 hours before the due date

Refer to the emails you receive to understand the specific violation and the action you'll need to take.

Manage Search Monitoring policies

There are several actions you can take as a partner when dealing with search monitoring violations. First, you will need to navigate to the Tasks page to view the list of violations. On your dashboard, locate the Tasks section and select View All.

Once you are on the Tasks page, a list of tasks will populate. If you have any search monitoring violations, they will be visible on this page. Find the violation you want to manage, and select it. A pop-up window will appear with all the needed information relating to that violation.

You can leave a comment and communicate directly with the brand, as well as add an attachment or you can take the following actions after selecting the [Drop-down menu] from the top right corner to let the brand know once you’ve started, completed or are unable to complete the task:

Action

Description

Block

This option can be selected if there are other factors preventing you from completing this task. Be sure to leave a comment to notify the brand of the blocker.

Start

Let the brand know you started working on a violation task by selecting Start from the [Drop-down menu]. It will now show a status of in progress. If the task was assigned to “Anyone,” it will now be assigned to you. Once the violation has been completed, select the [Caret down] menu once more and select Complete.

Duplicate

Select this option if it is a duplicate of an already existing task that’s been assigned.

March

If you and the brand find that a certain violation is invalid, ie. the violation no longer exists, the brand usually selects this option. Once selected, when you view the task again, new options to either reopen the task, or to archive it will appear from the [Drop-down menu]. Reopening it will set the task status to New. Archiving the task will set the status to Complete.

Once you have completed a search monitoring violation task, the brand will have the ability to view the progress/status changes and may mark the violation as Approved status to acknowledge the fix and fully close out the issue.

Setting your Search Monitoring Notifications
