This article will go more in-depth about your Bank Account settings, which are the settings you will need to configure to get paid. If you are only looking for a quick start setup, see the How do I get Paid? FAQ.

Updating Bank Account Settings

If you update your Bank Account settings with invalid information, you will see an error message in the platform explaining the issue. impact.com also verifies all changes made to your Bank Account settings within 48 hours. If impact.com finds any additional issues not caught by the automated system, you will receive an email notification.

What are my Bank Account settings?

Your Bank Account settings are composed of two separate settings:

The collection of details for where impact.com should send your money. You can be paid out in 1 of 3 payment methods depending on your currency and bank location:

  • ACH

  • Wire

  • PayPal

Note

Each payment method has its own conditions, like threshold options and processing fees. These conditions will automatically be updated in your account based on your currency and bank location.

Set up your payment method

Locate the Bank Account screen
  1. From the left navigation bar, select [Menu] → Settings.

  2. Under the Finance section, select Bank Account.

Two-factor authentication

If you have yet to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) for your impact.com member account, you must do so before you can edit your Bank Account settings. To do so, simply add your phone number to the Phone Number (2FA) field of your account settings.

From here, you can use either Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)—which uses your bank account information—to get paid or you can receive funds via PayPal. Certain restrictions and processing fees exist if you opt to receive your money via PayPal. See the Withdraw your balance via PayPal section below to learn more about these restrictions and processing fees.

Note

Whenever you make changes to your bank account settings, you may be required to verify your phone number as part of impact.com's Two-Factor Authentication security measures. Follow the steps in this article to help you verify your phone number.
