File formats and when to use them

There are four types of file formats listed below. Read each option to learn when best to use each file type.

File format—Traffic cost data

Use the Traffic cost data file format for the following types of sources:

  • Paid Search

  • Display

  • Retargeting

  • Paid Social

Ensure your file's name uses the following format. You can retrieve your source's Impact-assigned ID from the Media Sources screen in Altitude.

Media_cost_traffic_{media source ID}_YYYYMMDD.{file format}

File format—Cost per Action cost data

Use the Cost per Action cost data file format for the following types of sources:

  • CPA - Affiliate

Ensure your file's name uses the following format. You can retrieve your source's Impact-assigned ID from the Media Sources screen in Altitude.

Media_cost_cpa_{media source ID}_YYYYMMDD.{file format}

File format—Bonus cost data

Use the Bonus cost data file format for the following types of sources:

  • CPA - Bonus

Ensure your file's name uses the following format. You can retrieve your source's Impact-assigned ID from the Media Sources screen in Altitude.

Media_cost_bonus_{media source ID}_YYYYMMDD.{file format}

Use the Mobile cost data file format for the following types of sources:

  • Mobile
