This article will show you how to view, delete, and bulk upload sources in Forensiq.
From the left navigation menu, select [Menu] → Settings.
In the Program column (right side), select Sources.
From here, you can view a list of your sources and see which are active. To delete a source, select Delete under the Actions menu in that source's line.
From the left navigation menu, select [Menu] → Settings.
In the Program column (right side), select Sources.
Select Bulk Upload.
Use the file browser to find your Sources .csv file and select Upload, then select Next. Refer to Create a Sources .csv file for help creating this file.
The preview will show the sources that have been accepted from your .csv file. Select Accept and Create Sources to add these sources and complete the process.
Use a text editor to create two columns:
Source Name
andSource ID
. In a plain text file, it should look like this:Source Name,Source ID
In a spreadsheet, this should be your A1 and B1 cells.
Each source needs to be separated by one line, and sources are accepted as strings, so you can have spaces between words. In plain text, it should look like this with sources added:
Source Name
Source ID
My Source
12AB401
Another Source
ABG876
In a spreadsheet, sources should be in the A and B columns, each on their own line:
Warning
Filtering source names in the UI will default to the source name and source ID you uploaded. So if you're bulk uploading IDs and only renaming in the UI, you will need to filter using the ID not the name. A workaround is to retain the ID at the end of the source name, so for example "My Source" would be named "My Source (12AB401)".
Once you've added all of your sources, Save your file in .CSV format. For a plain text file, you can simply append ".csv" to the file name—just make sure you're not accidentally saving it with a ".txt" extension as well. In spreadsheet software, Save As (or Download) a comma-separated values .csv file.
