Note
Refer to the electronic tax documents overview help article for additional information regarding tax form differences and criteria for filling out W-8 and W-9 tax form information.
From the left navigation bar, select
[Menu] → Settings.
Under the Finance section, select Tax Documents.
Select the tax form option that fits your account type:
Form W-9 is for any partner based in the United States.
Form W-8 BEN is for individual foreign partners (i.e., not associated with or representing a company, organization, or entity) that are working with any brand based in the United States.
Form W-8 BEN-E is for foreign companies, organizations, or entities working as a partner with any brand based in the United States.
For how long is the W-8 valid?
Both W-8 tax forms carry a validity period of 3 years. Once this period elapses, impact.com will prompt you to revalidate the information provided in your W-8 tax form.
The expiration duration is calculated from the final day of the third successive calendar year following the submission of your W-8 tax form. For example, if you were to submit either W-8 tax form on January 10, 2025, its validity would extend until December 31, 2028.
You should submit a new form if the old W-8 is older than the 3-year timeline.
Select Continue to use the in-app DocuSign secured frame to fill out the tax form fields highlighted in red.
Double-check all the info you’ve entered and select Finish to submit your tax form.
You'll receive an email once impact.com has received and approved your tax form.
