Credit Policies Overview

With impact.com, each event type in your program can use any of our 3 available credit policies:

Event Type

Description

Last Click

RECOMMENDED

The partner that drove the last click in the conversion path will receive 100% of the credit.

First Click

NOT RECOMMENDED

The partner that drove the first click in the conversion path will receive 100% of the credit, and usually all of the payout for the conversion.

Last to Cart

CIRCUMSTANTIAL

The partner that drove the customer to add the final item to their cart before checking out will almost always receive 100% of the credit, and usually all of the payout for the conversion.

Note

First Click and Last to Cart credit policies are only available to specific impact.com editions.

Do not edit your crediting logic on your own

Changing a credit policy means you'll need to update an event type, which should only be done by an impact.com agent. Talk with your CSM (or contact support) about making any credit policy changes.
