Many retail brands will upload and maintain Product Catalogs, which are data feed files that list both their products and metadata about those products. You can view details about and download product catalogs through the impact.com platform, via FTP, or API.
Learn more about the products in the catalogs and how you can promote them here.
From the top navigation bar, select Content → Product Catalogs.
Below the Product Catalogs heading are filters. Adjust the filters to suit the criteria you want to find catalogs for, and select
[Search].
Under the Actions column:
Select
[Drop-down menu] → View Details for more information about the catalog like the number of products, file size, and when it was last updated.
Select the Download Advertiser or Impact Format option if the product catalog is below 1GB in size.
You can also download the product catalog from the Actions column. You can download the catalog in two formats:
Select Download Advertiser Format to download the Product Catalog as the brand uploaded it. See the Brand submitted formats section below for more information on these possible formats.
Select Download Impact Format to download the impact.com standardized version of this product catalog.
Downloaded catalogs will be compressed with a
.GZ
file extension. To open the file, you will need to make use of decompression software such as WinZip, WinRAR, or 7-Zip.

Product Catalogs can also be downloaded via FTP, or access the Product Catalog via API.
To download via FTP, you'll need an FTP client (like FileZilla or Cyberduck) to connect to the impact.com FTP server.
From the top navigation bar, select Content → Product Catalogs.
Find a product catalog that you want to download, under the Actions column, select
[Drop-down menu]→ View Details.
Select Email Product Catalog FTP Username and Password to receive login credentials for the FTP server.
Open the email to see the FTP server address and your login credentials. In your FTP client, use the FTP link as the server address, along with the credentials to connect to impact.com’s FTP server.
Once connected, you can browse the server directory and copy the Product Catalogs onto your system.
