By default, your active partners can view tracking links and use the Create a Link widget on their dashboard to create new tracking links that forward visitors to your landing page (or deep link to a specific page, if enabled).
Both of the steps below should be configured to the same setting—if one option is disabled and the other is enabled, partners will not be able to create or use tracking links.
From the left navigation bar, select [Menu] → Settings.
In the left column, under Branding, select Partner Console Branding.
Locate Dashboard Tracking Link Generator.
Select [Toggle on] Allow partners to generate tracking link from their dashboard to enable or disable this setting.
Select Save.
From the left navigation bar, select [Menu] → Settings.
Under the right column, under General, select Ad Settings.
In the Ad Types section, locate Online Tracking Link and select or deselect the [Checkbox] to enable or disable this setting.
Select Save.
Warning: If Deep Linking is already enabled, we highly recommend that you do not disable this setting. Disabling deep linking can affect your program and change your Marketplace Listing for partners.
From the left navigation bar, select [Menu] → Settings.
Under the right column, under Tracking, select Gateway.
Select Deep Linking and [Toggle] Allow Partners to deep link to specific pages on my site to enable or disable this setting.
Select Save.
In the left navigation menu, select [Engage] → Content → Ads.
Locate Online Tracking Link from the list of ads and select Update.
Select Deep Linking and [Toggle] Support Partners linking to specific pages to enable or disable this setting.
Select Save.
A partner may see the following error message when opening an invalid tracking link:
From your left navigation bar, select [Menu] → Settings.
In the right column, under Tracking, select Gateway.
Ensure that Allow Partners to deep link to specific pages on my site is enabled.
Ensure that you have specified the base domains to which partners may deep link.
Multiple domains must be comma-separated — ensure that there are no spaces.
Use a wildcard character as needed. E.g., yoursite.* / *.yoursite
From your left navigation bar, select [Menu] → Settings.
In the right column, under Technical, select Blocking & Redirect.
Ensure that there are no block routing rules set up that are causing the error.
See Configure Block Routing Rules to learn more.
A partner may see the following error message when opening an expired tracking link:
This message occurs when the link has expired for the partner—meaning that the partner is on the program's denylist. If you wish to remove the partner from the denylist, contact support.
