Bulk Upload Partner Funds Transfers

You can generate multiple partner funds transfers at once by uploading a .CSV file either via the impact.com platform or via FTP.

Bulk upload via the impact.com platform

You must submit a bulk upload file in .XLSX or .CSV format. The bulk upload will take between a few minutes and a day to process, depending on the size of the file. Set up your bulk upload file according to the Bulk Partner Funds Transfer File Format.

  1. From the left navigation bar, select [Menu] → Finance.

  2. From the left navigation menu, select Transfers.

  3. In the top-right corner, select Upload Partner Funds Transfers.

  4. Next to Upload Excel/CSV File, select Choose File.

  5. Add your file.

  6. Select Submit.

Bulk upload results

You will receive an email with the results of your batch upload. This email will include which transfers were successfully set up and which were not, as well as the reason(s) why the failed transfers failed. If you do not receive this email within 48 hours of submitting your file, reach out to your CSM (or contact support).

Bulk upload via FTP

You must first enable FTP uploads for partner funds transfers to impact.com before you begin dropping files into the platform's Finance FTP server. You must also retrieve your username and password for the server.

Use .CSV format

All partner funds transfers submitted via FTP must be in .CSV format.

  1. From the left navigation bar, select [Menu] → Finance.

  2. From the left navigation menu, select Transfers.

  3. From the top navigation bar, select FTP Settings.

  4. Next to FTP Upload, select [Edit], then toggle on [Toggle on] Enable FTP Upload.

  5. Select Save.

  6. Make note of your Username and Password.

  7. Once you have your FTP credentials, use an FTP client (like FileZilla or Cyberduck) to connect to impact.com with the following information:

    Server URL

    ftp://finance.impact.com

    Port

    21 - FTP

    22 - SFTP

    Username

    Your case-sensitive impact.com FTP Username.

    Password

    Your case-sensitive impact.com FTP Password.

  8. From here, drop your bulk .CSV file into the incoming folder.

Depending on how big the file you batch in is, processing the file could take between a few minutes and a day.

FTP upload results

You can view FTP file submissions by reaching the FTP File submissions screen. You can go directly to that screen by selecting this text or by following the directions below.

  1. From the left navigation bar, select [Menu] → Settings.

  2. On the left, under Technical, select File Submissions.

  3. Select the Type filter, then select Partner Funds Transfer.

  4. Next to the filters, select [Search].

  5. If there are any errors with a partner funds transfer file, the amount of errors will appear under Errors.

    • To fix these, upload a fresh file that contains corrected versions of the incorrectly configured partner funds transfers.

    • Select View Errors under Actions to see what issues exist. The following messages can appear:

      The currency field does match the originator or recipient account.

      The partner funds transfer for that row includes a currency code that matches neither your nor the intended partner's account's currency.

      Change the currency code for that row to either your impact.com account's currency or your partner's. Whoever's currency is not chosen will pay any accrued conversion (FX) fees.

      The transfer type field is not valid.

      An incorrect value was supplied in the TransferType column.

      Change the transfer type of that row to an accepted value. See rows 3-5 of the Bulk Partner Funds Transfer File Format sheet.

      A required field is missing.

      A field required to complete the partner funds transfer was missing.

      Add the missing value. See which values are required in the Bulk Partner Funds Transfer File Format sheet.

      The campaign field does not belong to any Advertiser.

      The row's CampaignId does not exist.

      Update the program ID for that row to your program's ID.

      The recipient account does not exist.

      The row's PartnerAccountId does not exist.

      Update the partner ID for that row to the intended partner's impact.com account ID.
