Create and Send Newsletters to Partners

Use Newsletters in impact.com to send email and in-app newsletters to your partners. These can be used for correspondence, upcoming changes about your program, offer special promotions, and more.

  • To view the legacy newsletter experience, at the top of the Newsletters page, select [Menu] [More] → Revert to old Newsletters.

Create a Newsletter

  1. From the left navigation menu, select Partners → Automation → Newsletters.

  2. In the upper-right corner, select Create Newsletter.

  3. Enter the Newsletter Name that will set it apart from other newsletters, i.e., ACME Anvils Mother's Day.

  4. Proceed by filling in the information in both the Partner Segment and Email sections.

In the Partner Segment section, conditions can be created to develop a list of partners that will receive the newsletter.

    1. Select Add Segment to create a selection of partners that you would like to engage with.

    2. You can choose Select Segment to apply an existing segment from a [Drop-down menu] [Drop-down menu] or select Create new segment and enter a name for a new segment.

    3. Specify the Conditions by which impact.com should segment newsletter recipients. E.g., Contract Stage is any of Joined.

      • See the Segment selection conditions section below for more information on these conditions.

    4. Select Preview Segment Partner for a preliminary display of the segment. Once you're happy with the preview, select Save.

    Segment selection conditions

Specific conditions can be created to develop a list of partners that will receive the newsletter.

    Screenshot_2024-10-11_at_11_55_05.png

Using And the operator will make the conditions exclusive, meaning that both conditions must be satisfied in order for a given partner to be included on the list.

Select [Add] [Add another] to add another condition that’s independent of the first condition.

The partners on a conditions-based newsletter segment can change depending on the conditions you select. For instance, having a condition saying Contract Stage is any of Joined + Relationship Stage is of any New and Joined this will remove partners that are not part of these groups.
