impact.com Deeplinking Extension for Chrome Explained

The impact.com Deep linking extension for Google Chrome makes it easy for Partners to create deep links on the fly for the brands they work with. With the extension installed partners can:

  • Generate paid links to a brand's product page

  • Join new brands

  • Add custom reporting parameters to your links

  • Easily post the link to Facebook, Twitter/X, or copy to your clipboard

Enable API access

Before the impact.com Deep linking extension can work, you'll need to enable API Access in your account if you haven't already.

  1. On the left nav bar, select [API] → API.

  2. Select Enable API Access Now.

Download and install

  1. If you're already in the Partner UI, select Content → Ad Tools. Select the Download For Chrome link. You can also view the extension directly: impact.com Deeplinking in the Chrome Web Store.

  2. Select Add to Chrome to install the extension. You'll see the impact.com logo appear in the top right of Chrome's UI.

  3. Login into the extension with your impact.com credentials.

Generate deep links

The extension can quickly generate deep links on a brand's or advertiser's webpage as long as you've previously joined their campaign and they support deep linking. For example, if you're promoting a specific product or service for a brand and wish to link directly to a webpage about that product or service, the impact.com Deep linking extension can generate a deep link to that page, which you can then use on your blog or website.

  1. Select the impact.com Extension Icon → Generate Tracking Link.

  2. Double-check that Landing Page is pointed to the correct URL (usually, the page you're currently viewing).

  3. Optionally, you can add Sub Ids to the link.

  4. The link will be generated next to Link.

Join a brand

The impact.com deep linking extension can fetch and serve information about a brand's or advertiser's partnership program while you're browsing the web. If you're browsing a brand's website and are interested if they have a partnership or affiliate program on impact.com, try opening up the extension!

If they do, you can view the program's terms, current deals, and even apply to the program right from the extension.
