Create a Deal Type

When creating a deal, it is important to remember to choose the type type that works best of the incentive you are attempting to create.

From the left navigation bar, select Content → Deals.
In the top right corner, select Create Deal and choose the Deal Type.

Refer to the Deals Settings below and use the information provided to assist you in configuring your deal type.

Deal Settings

Deal Detail	Description
Name	Enter a Name for your deal.
Description	Enter a Description for your deal.
Link	Provide a Link to the relevant landing page for your deal. For example one for your upcoming Fall Collection sale. Maximum 225 characters.
Seasonal	[Toggle on] Seasonal if this deal is tied to a season or holiday. Select the season or holiday from the [Drop-down menu].
Buy *(only applicable to BOGO* deal)**	This will only apply when a specified amount of products in a category is purchased to receive a corresponding number for free or at a discount. From the [Drop-down menu] select Product or Category. Category Select the amount between 1 and 10. Enter a category Name of the product that must be bought in order for this deal to apply. Product Select the amount between 1 and 10. Enter a product Name of the product the must be bought in order for this deal to apply. Upload an Image of the product.
Get *(only applicable to BOGO* deal)**	From the [Drop-down menu] select Product or Category. Category Select the amount between 1 and 10. Enter a Category name. From the [Drop-down menu], select Free, Amount Off or Percent Off. This will only apply when an amount off or percent off is selected and the specific amount or percent is specified. Enter a Category name. Product Select the amount between 1 and 10. From the [Drop-down menu], select Free, Amount Off or Percent Off. This will only apply when an amount off or percent off is selected and the specific amount or percent is specified. Enter a Product name. Upload an Image of the product.
Deal Scope *(Not applicable to BOGO* deal)**	Select how broad or specific this deal applies to your store from the [Drop-down menu]. There are three options to choose from Entire Store, Category or Product. Category Enter the Category of the deal scope. (E.g., Shoes) Optionally, select [Add] Add Category to apply more than one category. Product Enter a product Name. Upload an Image of the product. Enter the Regular Price USD for the product. Enter the Deal Price USD. Select a Purchase Limit for the product between n/a or 1-10. Optionally, select [Add] to Add Product to apply more than one product to the deal scope.
Discount *(only applicable to General* deal)**	Select how big of a deal you want to give consumers. There are 4 options to choose from. Fixed Percent Percent Range Percent Maximum Enter a Discount off amount.
Default Promo Code	If a General Default Promo Code exists for this deal, you can enter it here.
Rebate *(only applicable to Rebate* deal)**	Enter the Rebate amount for the deal.
Gift *(only applicable to Gift With Purchase* deal)**	Enter the Gift name associated with this deal.
Purchase Limit *(only applicable to BOGO* deal)**	[Toggle on] Purchase Limit to limit the number allowed at this price.
Minimum Purchase *(Not applicable to BOGO* deal)**	[Toggle on] Minimum Savings to require a minimum purchase amount. Enter the minimum purchase amount.
Maximum Savings *(Not applicable to BOGO* deal)**	[Toggle on] Maximum Savings to limit the amount of savings allowed. Enter the maximum savings amount.
Limited Time Deal	[Toggle on] Limited Time Deal to set limited for this deal. Enter the time, day, and timezone for the deal to start and end.
[Advanced Settings]	Optionally, [Toggle on] Align Ads and Promo Codes if you want to set the status and date range of all associated ads and deals to match this deal. Future updates to this deal will automatically update all associated ads and promo codes. Set the status (e.g., live) and date range (see Limited Time Deal) of all associated ads and deals to match the status and date range of this deal. Any future updates to this deal will update all associated ads and promo codes to match. All associated ads and deals will sync to this deal immediately after selecting Save. Optionally, [Toggle on] Restrict Partner Access to select which partners and partner groups will have access to this deal. Any partner not listed here will not see this deal.

Note: The details you fill out for your deal are informational for your partnered partners, and do not affect commissions or crediting. Partners will receive commissions for actions associated with the deal as specified in the existing contract with them.

Select Save when you’ve configured your deal.

Note: When you create a deal, partners are notified via the Partner Data Feed. Refer your partners to our article on the Promotional Ad Data Feed if they want to be notified when you update content.
