Discover Your Invoicing Method

Brands and partners using the impact.com platform will have any transactions incurred, invoiced for or to them based on a particular invoice method. Invoicing methods are determined based on the impact entity that the brand or partner engages with. This is largely determined based on geographical location.

The two invoicing methods employed on the platform are:

  • Direct invoicing

  • Invoicing via an impact.com entity

If you have signed up to impact via our UK, Singapore or Australian entity, or else are in the regions of EMEA, South East Asia/South Asia or Australia/New Zealand, you would be using the invoicing method of invoicing via an impact.com entity.

It is worth noting that even if you are on the invoicing method of direct invoicing, you may have invoices to or from an impact.com entity. This occurs when the counterparty to a particular transaction has the invoicing method of invoicing via impact.com entity.

In the event that you are on the invoicing method of invoicing via an impact.com entity, you can then expect:

  • All invoices generated to be to/from a single counterparty (impact.com entity)

  • Consistent indirect tax treatment across all transactions

To learn more about the various invoicing methods and how it works, see Understanding impact.com's Invoicing Methods.

To view what invoicing method you have:

  1. From the left navigation menu, select [Menu] [Menu] → Finance.

  2. From the left menu, select Settings → General.

  3. On the General screen, scroll down to the Invoicing Method section. Here you can see whether you fall within the direct invoicing method or the invoicing via impact.com entity method:

    Direct invoicing method

Invoices are generated by the platform to you from each partner you engage with.

Note: If some of your partners use the invoicing method of Invoicing via an impact.com entity then you will be invoiced for those partners by the particular impact.com entity.

    Invoicing via impact.com entity

All the invoices generated by the platform to you will be from the particular impact.com entity indicated.
