Prospect Import Explained

The Prospect Import feature makes handling large lists of prospects directly within the platform effortless. You can add new prospects to recruit or migrate existing partners from other platforms to impact.com using Prospect Import. You can streamline your recruitment process by using this feature in conjunction with email workflow templates to automatically accept new partners and creators to your program.

How it works

  1. Simply create a CSV file containing your prospects and upload it to the impact.com platform. To learn how to import prospects, see Bulk Import Prospects to Your Program.

  2. Once your prospects are imported, you’ll get an email confirmation containing a summary of your import. Here you can see whether there were any errors that might need fixing.

  3. After your prospects are in the impact.com platform and grouped, you can pair them with a workflow that will automatically accept prospects into your program once they’ve signed up.

Note: While this feature is geared toward importing prospects, you can migrate existing partners from other platforms to impact.com as well. To do this, assign existing partners to a group when importing them, then pair that group with an auto-accept workflow to immediately onboard them into your program.

How it benefits you

Prospect Import helps you grow your partner network without extra tools or delay.

  • Onboard partners faster: Upload entire prospect lists in minutes and start engaging with high-value partners and creators immediately. No need for external assistance, manual processes, or workarounds.

  • No need for third-party recruitment tools: Use that spend toward other drivers of growth, like partner incentives and campaigns.

  • Test your file beforehand: Use the dry run button to test for any errors, matching accounts, and see which records succeed or fail.

Limitations

  • You can’t create a new group when importing prospects. Make sure you’ve already created any groups you need before importing your prospects list. If you include a non-existent group in your file, that record will not be imported, and you’ll see an error in your summary report.

  • If an imported prospect’s invitation is shared with others, and a new applicant applies using that shared invitation, the resulting application won’t be linked to the initial prospect you imported.
