Credit Groups Explained for Partners
If the brand with which you are partnered has their program configured to leverage last-click crediting for all conversion events, the below credit groups could be applied to you. See the credit groups and their descriptions below to better understand how this could affect how you are credited for actions you drive.
Preferred
If assigned this group, you will be credited for driving an action when you are the last click of all preferred partners or partners participating in the customer journey.
Standard
If assigned this group, you will be credited for driving an action when you are the last click of all standard channels or partners participating in the customer journey, provided no preferred partners participated in the same customer journey.
Non-Preferred
If assigned this group, you will be credited for driving an action when you are the last click of all non-preferred channels or partners participating in the customer journey, provided no preferred or standard partners participated in the same customer journey.
Credit group FAQs
What if the brand does not assign me a credit group? What is the default credit group for partners?
If the brand for which you are driving actions has not placed you into any specific credit group, the default credit group assigned to you will be Preferred.
What happens if I am moved to standard or non-preferred credit groups?
Being moved to standard or non-preferred can result in a decrease of credit rewarded to actions you drove. You might not receive credit due to the action being credited or awarded to a Preferred partner instead.
How can I tell which credit group I’m in?
While there is no report to identify which credit group you are on per brand, feel free to reach out to your partnered brands to inquire about which credit group they have placed you in via the My Brands screen.
