Partner FAQs for Working with Amazon Seller Brands

Seller partnerships let you promote Amazon products while benefiting from impact.com’s powerful toolset and tapping into better commissions, longer cookie windows, and flexible reporting.

Can any partner work with Seller brands?

Yes. Think of a Seller partnership as any other Performance partnership, except the brand’s landing page is on Amazon. In a Seller partnership, you’ll drive traffic to product detail pages on the brand’s Amazon store to help generate product sales. Focus on providing value to your audience and promoting reputable products from trusted Sellers. Learn the best practices we recommend for Seller partners.

How do I take part?

Simply join a brand’s Seller program. You can find Seller brands on impact.com’s brand marketplace by entering “Amazon Seller” in the search bar.

Alternatively, find promotable Seller products on the product marketplace. See Create Tracking Links for Seller Programs for guidance.

What are the top benefits of working with Seller brands?

  • Negotiate commission rates that are typically higher than Amazon Associates

  • Take advantage of longer referral windows to increase your earning potential

  • Optimize your performance with our powerful promotional and reporting tools

  • Leverage Amazon’s strong conversion rates to maximize your results

  • Continue earning through Amazon Associates while expanding revenue with Seller

  • Choose which Sellers to work with based on your audience and business goals

Will participating affect my relationship with Amazon?

Good news! There's no conflict between working with Amazon directly through the Associates program and participating in Seller partnerships on impact.com. The two programs are separate:

  • Amazon Associates is Amazon’s self-run affiliate program, where you earn a commission directly from Amazon for driving traffic and sales.

  • Seller partners have the ability to discover and work with select brands. Your commissions are funded directly by the brand, not Amazon, and you can negotiate exclusive contract terms.

We encourage you to participate in both programs. The only restriction is to ensure that each link is only attributed to one of the two programs. This maintains trust with all parties involved and ensures compliance with Amazon’s policies.

Can I participate in Seller partnerships & Creator Connections?

Yes, you can take part in both programs at the same time. While Seller partnerships focus on driving Amazon product sales through impact.com tracking links, Creator Connections lets you collaborate with brands on content-driven campaigns across multiple channels.

There's no conflict between the two, and we encourage you to participate in both programs. The only restriction is to ensure that each conversion is only attributed to one of the two programs, not double-counted between programs.

What are 3 quick tips for success?

  1. Run a hybrid strategy. Combine impact.com Seller partnerships with Amazon Associates to reach more shoppers across a wider range of product categories.

  2. Be smart with your promotions. Define your goals, narrow in on your audience, and vet both the product and Seller. A good promotion strategy protects your credibility while maximizing conversions.

  3. Link to Amazon product detail pages. These pages typically convert 20–30% better than directing customers to general landing pages, and you’ll still get credit if the customer ends up buying a different product from the same brand.

Can I use SharedIds and SubIds on my tracking links?

  • SharedId — Yes. You can add a custom identifier to your tracking links to get visibility into the partners and platforms that influenced each Amazon purchase. Keep in mind that Amazon’s consumer privacy policies require each link with a SharedId to receive at least 10 clicks before the data is made visible in your impact.com reporting.

  • SubId — No. SubIds are not supported by Amazon Attribution, and using them on Seller tracking links may cause you to lose credit for conversions you drove.

Tip: Use SharedIds when working with sub-affiliates to understand where the most value is coming from. Learn how to elevate your Seller partnerships with sub-affiliates.

Why don’t I see any data in reporting?

Data visibility may be delayed due to Amazon’s privacy policies aimed at protecting consumers. Things to bear in mind with Seller reports:

  • Conversion and traffic data can take up to 2 days to appear

  • Click traffic only shows once 10 clicks are recorded

  • Conversions only appear after the first sale

  • Each link with a SharedId must reach 10 clicks before data displays.
