# Manage Lightning Pay for Partners

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important:** Lightning Pay is currently available to eligible partners in the United States and Canada who are paid in USD and meet [payment qualification requirements](/partner/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/platform-features/finance/payment-requirements-explained-for-partners.md). Lightning Pay is subject to the Lightning Pay terms and conditions. Contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or our [support team](https://app.impact.com/support/portal.ihtml?createTicket=true&) if you have questions about availability for your account.
{% endhint %}

Lightning Pay gives you fast access to your earnings. Refer to [Lightning Pay Explained for Partners](/partner/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/platform-features/finance/payments-withdrawals-and-balance/access-your-earnings-sooner.md) to find out if you're eligible and to learn how to activate the feature.

After you activate Lightning Pay, manage the service from the dashboard. From the dashboard, you can:

* Change your maximum speed/fee level
* Disable advances to stop future Lightning Pay activity
* See recent advance history
* View your current advance limit
* Review outstanding recovery

## Understand your key insights

The *Key Insights* section on the Lightning Pay dashboard summarizes what you've advanced recently, how much of your locked earnings you can still advance, and what is still recovering.

<table><thead><tr><th width="195.49609375">Key insight</th><th>Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Advanced</td><td>The total value of advances credited to your impact.com balance over the last 30 days. The percentage below the amount compares this to the previous 30-day period. A decrease usually reflects fewer locked earnings in the period rather than a change to your eligibility.</td></tr><tr><td>Net pending earnings</td><td>The value of your locked earnings that haven't been advanced yet, and so are still available to advance. </td></tr><tr><td>Advances waiting for repayment</td><td>The value of advances impact.com has issued to you and not yet fully recovered. The progress bar tracks the amount <em>paid back</em> against the <em>total to repay</em>. Recovery happens automatically as brands pay you, so this amount decreases without any action from you, and shows $0.00 once every advance you've taken has been fully recovered.</td></tr></tbody></table>

## Change your maximum speed/fee level

You can adjust how quickly your earnings are advanced by changing your maximum speed/fee level.

1. From the top navigation bar, in the upper-right corner, select your **Earnings Account →** [**Lightning Pay**](https://app.impact.com/secure/mediapartner/fr/finance/lightning-pay/index.ihtml).
2. On the Lightning Pay dashboard, select the **Manage** tab.
3. Select **Manage** from the *Lightning Pay* widget.
4. Adjust your maximum speed/fee level from the **Speed cap** ![](https://347878556-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fb2rE79d9UhOKZQLgzSqx%2Fuploads%2FcPa68OltbIaD3QiiS0J4%2FDrop-down.svg?alt=media\&token=db083c4f-c5aa-47e3-91ab-9a2b9a2152ea) **\[Drop-down menu]**.
5. Select **Save** to save your changes.

Your maximum speed/fee level determines how early Lightning Pay can advance your earnings:

* A higher level allows earlier advances&#x20;
* A lower level may result in fewer or later advances

The service fee for each advance is determined by the speedup days specified in the table, not by your maximum speedup setting. Increasing your maximum threshold does not automatically raise the cost of all advance payments. Refer to [Lightning Pay Explained for Partners](/partner/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/platform-features/finance/payments-withdrawals-and-balance/access-your-earnings-sooner.md#advance-payment-processing-fees) to learn more about the service fees.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://347878556-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fb2rE79d9UhOKZQLgzSqx%2Fuploads%2FE4ipBvtMIeOV8kSXVmLr%2FScreenshot%202026-08-25%20at%2009.31.47.png?alt=media&amp;token=3b756cfd-b66a-4911-bcb4-12a6f06daf46" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

## Stop future advances

You can stop future advances at any time without affecting recovery for earnings already advanced.

1. On the Lightning Pay dashboard, select the **Manage** tab.
2. Select **Manage** from the *Lightning Pay* widget.
3. Select **Disable Lightning Pay**.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://347878556-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fb2rE79d9UhOKZQLgzSqx%2Fuploads%2FjPCEH8XEDuKEjFWW0f4y%2FScreenshot%202026-08-13%20at%2009.19.20.png?alt=media&amp;token=a6419251-bc69-4b7c-be66-c644d21b710b" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Warning:** Stopping Lightning Pay prevents future advances. Any earnings already advanced will still be recovered from incoming payments when those earnings reach their due date. Once an advance has been processed, it generally cannot be stopped or recalled.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.impact.com/partner/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/platform-features/finance/payments-withdrawals-and-balance/manage-lightning-pay-for-partners.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
