Link Your Campaign Code to Your YouTube Task

Your brand may require you to link a campaign code to your YouTube video or short, in order to access additional YouTube data. There are three ways to do this:

Use this method when you're uploading a new video.

  1. In the YouTube app, upload your video.

  2. Select Paid promotions & brands.

  3. In the Brands section, select Select brand sponsorship.

  4. Select the brand’s campaign you want to link to your video.

  5. Select I agree.

Use this method if the video you want to link has already been uploaded.

  1. In the YouTube app, find the video or short you want to link.

  2. Select [Menu] → [Edit] → Paid promotion & brands.

  3. In the Brands section, select Select brand sponsorship.

  4. Select the brand’s campaign with the correct campaign code.

    • Ensure you have the correct code by checking the campaign code in impact.com. See the Access your campaign code reference below.

  1. On the impact.com platform, select Discover → Find Campaigns → Participating.

  2. Hover over your campaign and select Manage Tasks.

  3. Find the YouTube task, and select View Task Details.

  4. In the task slide-out, navigate to YouTube BrandConnect code to find your campaign code.

  1. Select I agree.

  2. Thereafter, in the impact.com platform, submit your video task.

To learn more about how to link to an existing video on the mobile app, see the following:

  1. Upload your video on YouTube.

  2. Submit your video task on the impact.com platform.

  3. You will receive a notification from YouTube prompting you to review and accept the link request.

    • Alternatively, access the link request by selecting [Menu] → [Edit] → Paid promotion & brands.

  4. Once you’ve accepted the link request, your video will be linked to your campaign.
