Monetize Your Meta Content with Product Tagging
Meta allows you to tag products directly in your Instagram and Facebook content. This means you no longer have to rely on adding a link in your bio, and can create a much smoother shopping experience for your followers. This does not change how your impact.com affiliate links work.
How to tag a product in your Meta content
Copy the tracking link of your specific product from impact.com. See Create Tracking Links or Create Tracking Links on the Mobile App to learn more.
Warning: For your content to become natively shoppable and properly attributed, you need to grab a product-specific affiliate link from impact.com.
Choose which social media platform you want to tag products in and follow the instructions below:
Important: You can only tag products on the Instagram and Facebook mobile app.
In the mobile app, create a Reel as you would normally. However, before posting, see the following steps:
On the New reel screen, select Add products.
In the search bar, paste your impact.com affiliate link. Your product will pop up in the search results.
You can embed up to 30 products per Reel.
Select your product and proceed to the next step.
Select Done to return to the New reel screen and finish setting up your reel.

In the mobile app, tag a product in your content in the following ways:
You can first choose your product, then create a new post or reel.
You can add your impact.com affiliate link directly to your content.
To learn more, see Create posts or reels with affiliate products from Facebook affiliate partnerships.
Best practices to ensure you get paid
To ensure you get credit for every sale you drive, follow these rules:
Always use a product-specifc impact.com affiliate link: This is the only way to ensure tracking is active, and that Meta can create a product tag in your content.
Use deep links when possible: A deep link goes directly to a product page, which helps Meta match it to a product. See Create a Deep Link for an Ad to learn more.
Avoid shortened links: Instagram and Facebook can't read shortened links, so they won't be turned into product tags on these sites.
Understand how your link appears
How your link appears in Instagram and Facebook depends on whether the brand has a product catalog and how you post.
[Recommended] You use a deep link and your partnered brand has uploaded a product catalog to Meta.
Meta sees your affiliate link, matches it to your brand's catalog, and automatically creates a product tag on your Meta content.
You get the best of both worlds: a great shopping experience for your followers and full tracking for you.
You use an affiliate link, but your partnered brand hasn't uploaded a product catalog to Meta.
Your link will appear as a standard sticker.
The good news is that your tracking still works perfectly! The only downside is that the experience isn't as seamless for your followers.
[Not recommended] You tag a product from your partnered brand's Meta product catalog but don't use your affiliate link.
The product tag will appear in your content, but it'll have no affiliate tracking.
You won't be compensated for any sales you drive.
