Add & Review Partners on Template Terms

Partners can be added to any of your existing saved template terms at any time. Provide your partners with sign-up links for them to apply, or add partners to template terms yourself. Once added, review active and pending partners for all of your template terms.

Below are ways in which to add partners to your template terms:

Add partners via branded links
  1. From the left nav menu, select Contracts → Template Terms.

  2. In the list, find the template term you want to add partners to and select Actions [Drop-down menu] → Get Branded Links.

  3. On the Links page, you'll see a direct link to your template term's promotion page. Refer to the definition below:

    Promo Page Link

Send partners to your branded promotional page where they can review your Template Terms before they sign up.

  4. Send this link to your partners for them to apply to your program based on the template term you chose.

  • Each branded link is unique to the specific template term associated with it.

  • Public template terms branded links are generally for new partners whom you haven't worked with. We recommend using this link on your partnership (or affiliate) program landing page to accept general applications from new partners.

  • Private template terms branded links are intended to be sent to partners you're familiar with, however anyone who accesses this link can apply. You'll be able to review proposals before accepting them.

Add partners via template term actions
  1. From the left nav menu, select Contracts → Template Terms.

  2. In the list, find the template term you want to add partners to and select Actions [Drop-down menu] → Add Partners.

  3. On the Add Partners screen, complete each section. Refer to the definitions below for help.

    • Media Partners

      • Add existing partners

Use the search box to find partners to add from your existing partner list.

      • Add new partners

Use this option to add partners with whom you have never partnered before. Select Manually to enter their account details, or select Upload CSV or Excel to upload a file that adds partners in bulk.

Leave the partner id blank if the partner hasn’t joined yet. New partners will receive an email with the program invite and will be automatically joined to the program after completing the signup form.

    • Contract Dates

      • Start Date

Use the dropdowns to set the start date for when the template term will take effect.

      • Length

Use the dropdown to choose either Ongoing (no defined end date) or Temporary. Use the dropdowns to choose the end date, and then use the checkbox to select if you want to set a fallback template term.

    • Approval Options

      • Replace

Automatically replaces any existing contract a partner may have with you. If you're adding partners before the template term's start date set above, you can select the checkbox to allow the partner to begin these terms before it officially starts.

      • Propose

Requires the partner to approve the new template term before it goes into effect. Use the checkboxes to set an expiration date (i.e., the partner must approve before this date) and/or to prohibit counter offers.

[Optional] Select  [Toggle on] Send an ad with this proposal for faster media partner integration if you have an ad ready to go.

    • Comments

[Optional] Include any additional comments to the partners you're adding to this contract. This message will be sent by email and is limited to 1024 characters.

  4. Select Send to complete the process.

Add new partners in bulk

You can upload a file (.csv or .xml) with a list of new partners. You will need to provide their email address, company name, or their mpid. You can get this information in Discover or by reaching out to the partners directly.

View partners added to a template term

  1. From the left nav menu, select Contracts → Template Terms.

  2. In the list, find the template term you want to view:

Select the linked number under the Pending column to see partners that have received (or applied to) your terms but are not active yet. On the Pending Review page, you'll see a Received Proposals section for you to review, and Sent Proposals, which show which partners have received the contract proposal but haven't accepted yet.

View a partner's contract history

You can also review every contract (i.e., signed template terms) that a partner has entered with you in the past.

  1. From the left nav menu, select Contracts → Contracts.

  2. Use the filters towards the top of the list to search for the partner you want to review. Make sure to clear Template and State so that all previous contracts appear.
