Send a Message to a Partner

Use Messages to quickly and easily communicate with your joined partners. This is a good way to resolve issues and communicate about future events.

Important: Refer to the Messaging Terms of Use in your account profile window to ensure you stay within impact.com’s messaging guidelines.

Messaging permissions

  • You will need the Messaging account user permission to message partners. This permission is standard to the Community Manager and Account Administrator user roles, and can also be set as part of custom roles.

Message partners

There are 2 ways you can message your partners:

Via your Partners screen

Learn how to message prospective partners and build your partnerships.

  1. From the left navigation bar, select engage-icon__v69b8313.svg [Engage]PartnersPartners.

  2. Hover your cursor over the partner you want to send a message to, then select ellipsis-h-solid__1_.svg [More]Message.

  3. Enter the message you would like to send your partner.

    • Optionally, you can paperclip-solid.svg [Attach file]. The following file types can be attached: CSV, PDF, JPEG, PNG, GIF.

    • All incoming and outgoing attachments are scanned for viruses.

  4. Once you've enter your message and added your attachments, select Send.

Via your Inbox

Messaging your partners can be easier directly from your Inbox.

Learn how to manage your inbox as a brand and how to filter by specific partner relationship statuses and more.

  1. In the bottom left navigation bar, select comment-regular.svg [Inbox].

  2. To create a new message thread with a partner, select 4213412_compose_document_edit_pen_pencil_icon__1_.svg [Compose].

  3. Search for the partner you want to message.

  4. Enter the message you would like to send your partner.

    • Optionally, you can paperclip-solid.svg [Attach file].The following file types can be attached: CSV, PDF, JPEG, PNG, GIF.

    • All incoming and outgoing attachments are scanned for viruses.

  5. Once you've enter your message and added your attachments, select Send.
