Manage Your Partners

Once you've recruited partners to your program, you can manage them from the My Partners screen.

  1. From the left navigation menu, select [Engage] → Partners → Partners.

  2. From the upper-right corner, you can do the following:

  3. Search for partners using the filter bar below My Partners.

    • Refer to the Filter reference below for more information.

  4. Select [Columns] to add additional columns to the My Partners screen.

    • Refer to the Columns reference below for more information about the different columns.

  5. Hover over a partner and select [More] to perform various actions for each partner.

Description

Search bar

Filter through your partners by searching for their name, unique partner ID, or URL.

Contract status

Filter your partners according to whether they are in an Active, Expired, or Suspended state of the partnership.

Groups

Filter your partners based on the specific partner group they are assigned to.

Contract

Filter partners by the type of contract they are signed to.

Terms updates

Filter your partners based on any updates to their terms, e.g. Partners who have pending proposals, or partners whose contracts have recently expired.

Relationship type

Filter to partners that either directly partnered with you or have partnered with you through the marketplace.

Country

Filter partners based on the country they are from.

State/Province

Filter partners based on the state or the province they are from.

Access

This column provides a URL that grants temporary access to the partner account.

You can only access your partner's account if they've only joined your program via a direct sign-up link. Contact support if you want this option enabled.

Partner

The partner's unique name, ID, and location can be found in this column.

Direct partner

Displays a [Check] if a partner is a direct partner with you, as opposed to one that joined through the marketplace.

Groups

Displays a list of labels indicating the different groups the partner is associated with.

Contract

The various contracts the partner is currently signed to.

Date joined

Displays the date the partner joined your program.

Report

Select the [Graph] to view the performance report for a particular partner.

This action allows you to manage partner notes and view historical details.

Note: We recommend using the Activity log in the partner slideout instead of this action.

Contract

This action allows you to choose from a range of actions associated with the contract between you and the partner. To learn more, view the contracts section.

Tracking

This action gives you a set of options related to tracking events between you and the partner. To learn more, view the tracking section.

Partner Integration

This action allows you to help your partners in setting up either partner tracking pixels or postbacks (see the Partner-facing help article on postbacks to learn more) to sync event data with the partner's own system.

Account Manager

This action allows you to specify an account manager for the selected partner and make contact information available for direct partners.

Note: We recommend using the Assigned To field in the partner slideout instead of this action.

Client Cost Settings

This action allows you to enable client costs for the partner. Select their default cost type and action tracker exceptions here.

Compliance Settings

This action allows you to customize review schedules and audit rates. You can override how frequent the review schedule for a partner is as well as how frequently they are audited.

Manage Account Links

This action allows you to oversee and adjust relationships between connected partner accounts, including why and how they're linked.

Message

This action opens up the chat window. From the chat window you can send the partner a message.

  1. From the left navigation menu, select [Engage] → Partners → Partners.

  2. From the upper-right corner, you can do the following:

    • To view the Performance by Partner report, select [Report graph icon] in the upper-right corner.

    • Select [More] to:

      • Export Partner List.

      • Access your Partner Tracking Settings.

      • Access the legacy screen by selecting Revert to old UI. Refer to the Legacy My Partners screen tab.

  3. Search for partners using the filter bar below My Partners.

    • Refer to the Filter reference below for more information.

  4. Select [Columns] to add additional columns to the My Partners screen.

    • Refer to the Columns reference below for more information about the different columns.

  5. To see the performance data of a partner, hover over a partner and select Performance.

    1. From here, you can track performance across various categories, including event types, ads, promo codes, and monthly trends.

  6. Hover over a partner and select [More] to perform various actions for each partner.

  7. To manage multiple partners at once, see the Bulk manage partners section below detailing bulk actions you can apply.

Search bar

Filter through your partners by searching for their name, unique partner ID, or URL.

Groups

Filter your partners to a specific partner group they are assigned to.

Contract stage

Filter your partners according to whether they are in an Active or Expired state of the partnership.

Contract

Filter partners by the type of contract they are signed to.

Country

Filter partners based on the country they are from.

Size

Filter for partners based on their size.

Custom fields

Filter partners based on their answers to custom fields in your surveys.

  • Relationship stage:

    Filter for partners based on their relationship status with you:

    • New - Partners you've tagged as prospects, but have yet to email or send a proposal to.

    • Outreach - Partners who were:

      • Contacted via email.

      • Contacted via message, provided they aren't already a prospect.

    • Negotiating - Partners without an accepted contract, including those awaiting a decision, those who haven’t accepted your proposal, those who countered your proposal, and those whose application you’ve countered.

    • Joined - Partners joined to your program.

    • Expired - Partners with expired contracts.

  • Business model: Filter partners by the type of business they run, such as loyalty, email, or coupon.

  • Assigned to: Filter partners by the account user assigned to manage or negotiate with them.

  • Prospecting source:

    Filter partners by the source from which they were prospected, such as:

    • Applications: Prospects that were aggregated from external applications. This includes both direct applications and partners who applied via the brand marketplace.

    • Marketplace: Prospects that were aggregated from the partner marketplace.

    • Extended Search: Prospects that were identified through extended search features.

    • Impact AI: Prospects that Impact AI tools have aggregated.

    • Messaging: Prospects that were aggregated through impact.com's in-app messaging feature.

    • Staff Recommended: Prospects personalized for you by your CSM.

    • Prospect Import: Prospects that were imported using the Prospect Import feature.

    • Creator Search: Prospects that were identified through the Creator Search feature.

    • Other: Prospects not aggregated by any of the above sources.

  • Promotional areas: Filter partners by the locations in which their audience is based.

Access

This column provides a URL that grants temporary access to the partner account.

Media properties

The partner's connected media properties such as social media accounts and websites.

Business model

The type of business the partner runs, such as loyalty, email, or coupon.

Social reach

The partner's total social presence, based on follower counts across all social media properties.

Direct partner

Displays a [Check] if a partner is a direct partner with you, as opposed to one that joined through the marketplace.

Marketplace application date

The date of the partner's marketplace application.

Audience country

Where the partner's audience is situated.

Partner ID

The impact.com identification number of the partner.

Assigned to

The brand account user to which the partner is assigned.

Description

The partner's profile description.

Promotional areas

These are the locations or countries in which the partner promotes.

Contact name

A list of contact persons you could contact if you want to message or propose a contract.

Address

The physical address at which the partner is located.

Moz domain authority

Shows how likely a website is to rank higher in search results. The higher the score, the stronger the ranking potential.

Categories

These are content categories derived from the partner's historical brand associations. When a partner works with a brand, they inherit that brand's category structure.

Prospecting source

Where you originally found this partner.

  • Applications

    Prospects that were aggregated from external applications. This includes both direct applications and partners who applied via the brand marketplace.

  • Prospects that were aggregated from the partner marketplace.

  • Prospects that were identified through extended search features.

  • Prospects that Impact AI tools have aggregated.

  • Messaging

    Prospects that were aggregated through impact.com's in-app messaging feature.

  • Staff Recommended

    Prospects personalized for you by your CSM.

  • Prospects that were imported using the Prospect Import feature.

  • Prospects that were identified through the Creator Search feature.

  • Other

    Prospects not aggregated by any of the above sources.

Custom fields

The partner's responses to the custom fields in your survey. Each custom field can be added as its own column.

Bulk manage partners

From the new My Partners screen, you can perform bulk actions on multiple partners simultaneously. To begin any bulk action:

  1. Hover over the partners you want to change and select the [Unchecked boxes] next to their names.

    • Alternatively, select [Unchecked box] Select All to make changes to all your partners.

  2. Select your desired action from the options available beneath the filters. Refer to the tabs below to learn how to perform your desired action.

Change the groups your partners are assigned to.

  1. Select Change Groups <group amount> [Drop-down menu]. From this drop-down menu, you perform one of the following:

    1. Assign a group: Select the [Unchecked box] next to the desired group or select Select All to assign them to all groups.

    2. Remove from a group: Deselect the [Checked box] next to the group name, or select Clear to remove them from all groups.

  2. Select Apply → Confirm.

Bulk assign partners to specific account managers.

  1. Select Assigned To to open the drop-down list of account managers.

  2. Choose the account manager to which you want to assign the partners.

  3. Select Apply → Confirm.

Bulk email partners.

  1. Select Email.

  2. Fill out the email details in the pop-up window.

  3. Select Send.

Bulk update your partners' contracts.

  1. Select Contract.

  2. Choose one of the following options:
