# See impact.com Messages from Partners in Slack

impact.com [Messaging](https://help.impact.com/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/platform-features/reach-out-to-partners/messaging/send-a-message-to-a-partner) allows you to exchange messages with partners who've joined your programs, and you can also opt to receive partner messages and notifications on Slack. Read on for information on how to configure a channel in your Slack workspace using Slack's [Incoming Webhooks](https://api.slack.com/messaging/webhooks), so that you can view impact.com messages on your Slack app.

#### How it works

* You'll create a new app in your Slack workspace and generate a Webhook URL for the channel in which you want notifications to appear.
* In your impact.com account, you'll add the webhook URL for that channel to enable the integration.
* Once connected, Slack will notify you via the channel whenever you receive a message in impact.com.

#### Create an impact.com app in Slack

1. Visit Slack's [app dashboard](https://api.slack.com/apps) and sign in to the Slack developer platform.
2. Select **Create an App**.
3. Give the app a **name**, such as `Acme Inc`.
4. Choose the **workspace** on which the app should be hosted.
5. Select **Create App**.

#### Enable Incoming Webhooks and create a Webhook URL

1. On Slack's [app dashboard](https://api.slack.com/apps) , find and **select the impact.com app** you created.
2. On the app's management dashboard, locate the *Features* section on the left and select **Incoming Webhooks**.
3. Next to *Activate Incoming Webhooks*, select ![](https://4048883401-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FwMLlMoFBtKJa8ptd3zaw%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-d0b6669ae76a7bef06a8d6940d7ad5c16bb8d018%2F7cb018d4face8d7cceb880eb5086c812e764fbcfe6f2a0377f88bc7576973070.svg?alt=media) **\[Toggle on]** to enable it.
4. When the page refreshes, go to the *Webhook URLs for Your Workspace section* and select **Add New Webhook to Workspace**.
5. In the prompt, use the **dropdown** to select which channel impact.com can post to.
6. Select **Authorize**.
7. In the *Webhook URL* section, select **Copy** to copy the full Webhook URL of the channel.

#### Add your Slack Webhook URL to impact.com

1. Open your impact.com brand account. 2. On the *Notifications Frequency* page, scroll to the *Messages* section.
3. 4. In the *New Messages* field, select **Individual Email**.
5. In the *Slack Integration* field, paste in your **Slack Webhook URL**.
6. Select **Save**.
