# Create & Share Tracking Links with Partners

You can assist your partners with creating tracking or vanity links and sharing them on an ad-hoc basis.

#### Create a tracking link

1. 2. From your partner list, hover over the partner for whom you want to create a tracking link, then select ![](https://4048883401-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FwMLlMoFBtKJa8ptd3zaw%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-8ec3e877b1397045c61d394485e72ac4d93120ee%2Fc6ddb46c637059f06e86c790a911217a9428f5c47b5efef046f90555e85b03cd.svg?alt=media) **\[More]** → **Tracking** → **Create a link**.
3. Optionally, specify an alternative landing page and select **Advanced** to add Sub IDs, a [Shared ID](https://help.impact.com/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/platform-features/contracts-and-template-terms/contracts/dynamically-pay-partners-with-the-shared-id), or a verified partner property to the tracking link for reporting purposes.

4. Select **Create**.

   * To edit the URL protocol, select the **URL protocol** ![](https://4048883401-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FwMLlMoFBtKJa8ptd3zaw%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-c2cb550b55c51ea1eeff0acbd6f437a03b621a2c%2F60d033ae8a04c14498d5229c3c0160ac05feea7f605dbd770741793c900469f0.svg?alt=media) **\[Drop-down menu]**.
     * **https\://**—The link will only use the secure version of HTTP.
     * **http(s)://**—The link will attempt to use the secure version of HTTP and will use unsecured HTTP as a fallback.

#### Share a tracking link

You can copy the link to your clipboard or share the QR code with partners.

**Copy link to clipboard**

1. Select the link.
   * You will receive a message saying that the link has been copied to clipboard.
2. Share the copied link with your partners.

**Share the QR code**

2. You can take a screenshot of the QR code and manually share it with your partners.
