Manage & View Uploaded Product Catalogs

Easily manage and update your uploaded product catalogs using filters and available actions. This article shows you how to locate specific catalogs using filters and how to take action based on their health status.

Filter product catalogs

If you need to modify, update, or delete specific catalogs, you can use filters to find the relevant catalogs faster.

  1. From the left navigation bar, select [Engage] → Content → Products → Product Catalogs.

  2. On the Product Catalogs screen, use the top filter bar to set the filters you want.

Description

ID, Name

Enter the Name or impact.com-assigned ID of a specific product catalog you want to find.

Health

Select the health associated with the product catalogs you want to view. A catalog's health is affected by the Errors associated with it. Health states include:

• Pending

• Processing

• Excellent

• Good

• Poor See Add Product Catalogs as a Brand for what each health state means.

Labels

Select a label attached to the product catalogs you want to find; these are labels you've added to the catalog upon creation.

Processing State

Select the processing state (e.g., Pending) of the product catalogs you want to view. This filter can also retrieve product catalogs that contain Errors. Processing states include:

• Pending

• Downloading

• Errors

• Processing

• Successful

Status

View product catalogs of a certain activity state. Statuses include:

• Pending Activation

• Active

• Inactive

• Suspended

Manage a product catalog

You can manage product catalogs in 4 different health statuses: Excellent, Good, Poor, and Pending.

  1. From the left navigation bar, select [Engage] → Content → Products → Product Catalogs.

  2. On the Product Catalogs screen, hover over the catalog you want to manage and select an action from the options below.

    • The actions you can perform for your catalog depend on its status. Healthier catalogs let you make more changes, while others may have limited options.

    • See the Actions reference below for more information on each action where applicable.

Action reference

These options appear when hovering over a catalog:

  • Edit — Modify your product catalog and save your changes.

  • Upload — Upload a file to update the products in the catalog. This will replace the existing products with those in the uploaded file.

  • [More] — Some of these options will be available, based on the catalog status:

Action
Description

Deactivate

Make the catalog's products inaccessible to partners (useful for seasonal catalogs); deactivated catalogs are saved but hidden.

Delete

Remove the entire product catalog.

View Products

Preview specific products and their metadata. Return to the catalog screen using the Back option.

Make Available for Use

Applicable when the status is Excellent or Good and the catalog is inactive. Make the catalog available for use.

Manage Destinations

Add, remove, or configure the platforms where your products are published, including marketplaces, ad channels, and partners.

View product details

You can view details for any product in a catalog, including its metadata.

  1. From the left navigation bar, select [Engage] → Content → Products → Product Catalogs.

  2. On the Product Catalogs screen, select the number displayed in the Number of Products column for the catalog you want to view.

  3. On the resulting product list, select the row of the desired product to display additional information in a slider on the right-hand side of your screen.

View product parent & variant status

You can view specific details within a product catalog, to determine if an item is a parent product or a variant.

  1. Scroll through the product details slider to locate the following relationship fields:

    • Parent Sku (The parent Sku number is shown if the selected product is a variant.)

    • Item Group Id (The identifier used to logically group the parent product and all its related variants together.)

    • Parent (Indicates if the product is the parent product or a variant in the group.)
