# Retract Template Term Modifications

Template terms often involve scheduling [modifications](/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/platform-features/contracts-and-template-terms/template-terms/modify-template-terms.md) that take effect on a future date. If you modify these terms but your needs change before the scheduled effective date, you can instantly retract the modifications, redo them, and schedule new template term modifications.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Warning:** If you schedule an upcoming template term modification and immediately [invite a new partner](/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/platform-features/contracts-and-template-terms/template-terms/review-partners-on-template-terms.md) to the modified terms, the new partner agrees to start with the new contract when they accept the contract invite. Consequently, you won’t be able to retract your upcoming term modifications.
{% endhint %}

1. From the left navigation menu, select ![](/files/CDnwOBeIdds9r3Z6zTnO) **\[Engage]** → **Contracts** → **Template Terms**.
2. Find the terms for which you want to retract the modifications, then select ![](/files/rBkxBrqMl1l5VXLGwaXU) **\[More]** → **Retract upcoming modification**.
3. Optionally, leave a comment.
4. Select **Withdraw** and select **OK** to confirm the prompt.

   * The upcoming modifications are now cancelled.
   * The notification partners received about changes in their contract will be removed.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.impact.com/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/platform-features/contracts-and-template-terms/template-terms/retract-template-term-modifications.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
