Create an Image Asset
This article explains how to create an Image Asset that is hosted by partners and can effectively drive traffic to your website or a specific product. Image Assets utilize ad creative (e.g., images) to attract partner-driven traffic to the landing page you choose for this asset.
From the left navigation bar, select
[Engage] → Content → Ads.
In the top-right corner, select Create Ad
[Drop-down menu]→ Image.
Complete the information in the following sections:
Asset Details
Enter the Name of your asset.
Optionally, enter a Description for the asset.
Set a Default or Custom Landing Page from the
[Drop-down menu] and enter the desired Landing Page URL for the asset redirection.
Optionally,
[Toggle on] Mobile Fallback to reroute mobile traffic from this asset if impact.com didn't detect that your app is already installed. Only the mobile operating systems you've configured in your Mobile App settings will appear here.
Android — from the
[Drop-down menu] under Android, select a fallback option. This selection will then be populated with the URL to download your app.
iOS — from the
[Drop-down menu] under iOS, select a fallback option. This selection will then be populated with the URL to download your app.
Optionally, under Metadata, select
Add Metadata.
From the
[Drop-down menu], select the query parameters you want to pass and enter the value.
You can add more parameters by selecting
Add Metadata.
Metadata added to your asset will be appended to the end of the asset's tracking links.
If you select the Custom parameter, you can set both the parameter name and value.
Note: You can use the dynamic tokens {iradid} and {irpid} as values for any of the metadata query parameters available, including Custom.
Optionally, add Labels to the asset so your partners can more easily find them.
[Toggle on] Restrict Partner Access to set which partners or partner groups can use this asset.
Enter and select the Partners and Groups you want to grant access to this asset.

Asset Configuration
Use the
[Radio Button] to choose the Type of image asset that will be served
Upload Creative
Select Choose File, then select the desired file from your computer
PNG, JPG, and GIF file formats are supported and hosted by the system. The maximum file size is 1 MB.
Third-party hosted image
Supply the URL from where the image asset's content will be retrieved (and select the source URL's HTTP protocol).
URL length cannot exceed more than 1024 characters.
From the
[Drop-down menu], select the Asset Size this image asset is. Recommended: We recommend creating an image for each of the following sizes: 728x90, 300x250, 160x600, and 180x150. This is in accordance with IAB's Universal Ad Standard Compliance. This gives your partners more options when it comes to asset sizes.
Custom HTML
Enter the Custom HTML that will be used by third-party servers (for example, DART or ATLAS) to serve the asset.
Add Asset Tokens Help to this asset by selecting
[Plus].
Token Descriptions
{click_url_encoded}- Populates with the click destination URL, URL-encoded for use in tracking links.{click_url}- Populates with the raw, non-encoded click destination URL.{timestamp} - Populates with the time the asset was requested, in Unix timestamp format (e.g., 1735868412).
{irpid}- Populates with the partner ID associated with the click (e.g., 98765).{ircid}- Populates with the program ID the asset is linked to (e.g., 43210).{iradid}- Populates with the ID assigned to the asset (e.g., 1122330).{randint}- Populates with a random integer for cache-busting or unique tracking purposes (e.g., 847362).{rulename}- Populates with the name of the matched redirect rule, useful for debugging or rule identification (e.g., default-fallback-rule).
From the
[Drop-down menu], select the Asset Size of the image.
Recommended: We recommend creating an image for each of the following sizes: 728x90, 300x250, 160x600, and 180x150. This is in accordance with IAB's Universal Ad Standard Compliance. This gives your partners more options when it comes to asset sizes.
Optionally, enter an Alternative Tag for the asset to specify alternate text to display if the image cannot be shown.
Promotional Details
Optionally, apply a Deal to your asset from the
[Drop-down menu].
Optionally, select Add New Deal
[Drop-down menu] to create a new deal to be applied to this asset.
Optionally, apply Available Dates by selecting the
[Calendar] to set the Start Date and End Date for this asset.
From the
[Drop-down menu], set a Timezone for this asset.
Optionally, select
[Unchecked box] change landing page on expiration and proceed by selecting Configure Rule to configure what happens if the landing page expires. Select the expiration rule you want to apply from the options below and then click Submit:
Optionally, apply a Seasonal period to the asset from the
[Drop-down menu].
Under Additional Promotional Options, select the
[Unchecked boxes] if Offer is a top selling item and to Enable a media partner to request their own unique promo code for this promotion.
Advanced Settings
Select the display Language for this asset from the
[Drop-down menu].
Select the
[Unchecked boxes] to Support Partners linking to specific pages or Limit Partners to iFrame tracking code for this asset.
Optionally, apply a Customization Charge to partners if you create a custom version of this asset for them. If you choose to do so, enter the fee amount here.
[Toggle on] Third-Party Impression Pixel to set up this asset if you want to track how users interact with it.
Select the Save or Save Draft
[Drop-down menu] and choose from the following options:
Save - Saves the asset and finishes the current task.
Save & Create Another - Saves the asset and opens a new form to create another.
Save & Create Another with Same Settings - Saves the asset and starts a new one with the same settings pre-filled.
Save Draft - Saves your progress without finalizing the asset.
Save Draft & Create Another - Saves the draft and opens a new draft form.
Save Draft & Create Another with Same Settings - Saves the draft and starts a new draft with the same settings pre-filled.
