# Create a Video Asset

This article explains how to create a *Video Asset* that displays content either via a URL or by embedding HTML code through an iFrame. This approach allows you to deliver video content seamlessly, whether hosted internally or externally.

1. From the left navigation bar, select ![\[Engage\] v2](https://paligoapp-cdn-eu1.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/impact/attachments/f01cdffa431a4d75ff09c130b66974d4-aa671735ec2b65af79961eaf59ab60af.svg) **\[Engage]** → **Content** → [**Ads**](https://app.impact.com/secure/advertiser/engage/ads/manage-all-ads-flow.ihtml?execution=e1s1#fqe__adStatus=ACTIVE).
2. In the top-right corner, select **Create Ad** ![\[Drop-down menu\]](https://paligoapp-cdn-eu1.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/impact/attachments/f01cdffa431a4d75ff09c130b66974d4-d6b35853a9aa1f1fe6bd66da29bd09fa.svg) **\[Drop-down menu]** → **Video**.
3. Complete the information in the following sections:

   * impact.com will automatically detect the device type of the consumer and direct them to the appropriate app store to download your app once mobile fallback is set up.

     * If you select the *Custom* parameter you can set both the parameter name and value.

1. Upload a **Video** for this asset, by selecting **Choose File**.
   * Both MP4 and OGG video formats are supported. OGG video format might not be supported by all browsers. The maximum file size is 200 MB. Ensure the file ends with the appropriate extension.
2. Upload a **Thumbnail** for this asset selecting **Choose File**. This image will be shown before the video plays.
