Track Your Conversion Funnel Using Chained Actions
Chained actions let you track an event funnel by linking parent and child actions. This feature is useful for brands that want to track a conversion funnel with multiple steps.
How it works
The parent action happens first and must be tracked before the child action; otherwise, you risk breaking the chain of events, and you won’t be able to attribute a conversion to the relevant partner.
The child action is tied to the parent action using a common customer ID, which ensures that the conversion is attributed to the partner who drove the parent event. Chaining actions is only possible via this customer ID, and must be passed in both parent and child actions.
Both parent and child actions can be reversed individually if needed.
impact.com also supports multi-step funnels of 2 or more events using chained actions. Reach out to support for additional help to get more insight into more complex chained actions.
