# Manage a Social Listener

Social Listening monitors specific keywords and hashtags to identify content that resonates with your brand. Once you have [created a social listener](https://help.impact.com/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/creator-program/working-with-creators/social-listening/create-a-social-listener), you can perform various actions, such as editing and pausing social listeners or [viewing social listening results](https://help.impact.com/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/creator-program/working-with-creators/social-listening/view-social-listening-results-and-dashboard).

#### Edit a listener

1. 2. Hover your cursor over the listener you want to make adjustments to, and select ![](https://4048883401-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FwMLlMoFBtKJa8ptd3zaw%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-8ec3e877b1397045c61d394485e72ac4d93120ee%2Fc6ddb46c637059f06e86c790a911217a9428f5c47b5efef046f90555e85b03cd.svg?alt=media) **\[More]** → **Edit**.
3. You can then make the following edits:
   * Change the listener **Name**.
   * Add or remove hashtags or keywords from the **Specific Channels** and **Channel filters**.
   * Change the frequency of your email **Alerts**.
4. Select **Save**.

#### Pause a listener

You can *Pause* a listener and *Reactivate* it in the future.

1. 2.
