# Manage a Social Listener

Social Listening monitors specific keywords and hashtags to identify content that resonates with your brand. Once you have [created a social listener](/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/creator-program/working-with-creators/social-listening/create-a-social-listener.md), you can perform various actions, such as editing and pausing social listeners or [viewing social listening results](/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/creator-program/working-with-creators/social-listening/view-social-listening-results-and-dashboard.md).

#### Edit a listener

1. From the left navigation bar, select ![](/files/ZxKsZVItTC74qmX9Lebs) **\[Discover]** → [**Social Listening**](https://app.impact.com/secure/advertiser/discover/protect/fr/social-listening.ihtml).
2. Hover your cursor over the listener you want to make adjustments to, and select ![](/files/mQTDSmR70Q3Eybmgev6e) **\[More]** → **Edit**.
3. You can then make the following edits:
   * Change the listener **Name**.
   * Add or remove hashtags or keywords from the **Specific Channels** and **Channel filters**.
   * Change the frequency of your email **Alerts**.
4. Select **Save**.

#### Pause a listener

You can *Pause* a listener and *Reactivate* it in the future.

1. To archive a social listener: Hover your cursor over the listener you want to archive and select ![](/files/mQTDSmR70Q3Eybmgev6e) **\[More]** → **Pause**.
2. To reactivate a social listener: Hover your cursor over the listener you want to reactivate and select ![](/files/mQTDSmR70Q3Eybmgev6e) **\[More]** → **Reactivate**.
