# Review Pending Referrals for Advocate

When you have turned on [Fraud Protection](/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/advocate-program/protect-your-advocate-program/advocate-fraud-protection-explained.md) with the *Moderate* setting, your Advocate program will flag and place into a pending state any referrals with a medium fraud score. Pending referrals must be manually approved or denied.

You can review and assess pending referrals from the referral feed or within individual participant profiles.

Referrals are only placed into a pending state after you turn on Fraud Protection for your Advocate account.

1. From the top navigation bar, select ![](/files/2qeX6EqajzdOPiwzfeV5) **\[User profile] → Settings**.
2. From the *Advocate Settings* section, select **Security**.
3. Select ![](/files/OoA2qxPalfCYKZvmxuU6) **\[Toggle on] Automatic fraud detection**.
