## Reconnect your account

Connections expire when a platform's access token lapses, when permissions are revoked on the social platform's side, or when the authorizing user loses admin access. Features that rely on the account, including [Instagram creator discovery](/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/platform-features/find-partners-and-creators/find-creators-with-creator-search.md#instagram) and [amplification](/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/creator-program/working-with-creators/amplify-your-creator-ads/configure-an-amplification-campaign.md), stop working until you reconnect.

1. From the *Connected Accounts* screen, hover over the account and select ![](https://4048883401-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FwMLlMoFBtKJa8ptd3zaw%2Fuploads%2FaMIlbqH54V4Ow5JvT0I0%2F%5BMore%5D%20vNext%202.svg?alt=media\&token=6d5449e8-e413-48fa-b059-58ebb3e2c271) **\[More] → Reconnect**.
2. Follow the prompts in the pop-up window to reauthorize impact.com.
   * Accept all requested permissions. Declining any of them may leave the connection unusable.

## Set your account as the default

Your default social account is used for creator discovery and messaging, and Creator Search results are ordered by relevance to it. The first account you add becomes the default automatically.

1. From the *Connected Accounts* screen, hover over the social account you want to use and select ![](https://4048883401-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FwMLlMoFBtKJa8ptd3zaw%2Fuploads%2FaMIlbqH54V4Ow5JvT0I0%2F%5BMore%5D%20vNext%202.svg?alt=media\&token=6d5449e8-e413-48fa-b059-58ebb3e2c271) **\[More] → Set as Default**.
   * A ![](https://4048883401-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FwMLlMoFBtKJa8ptd3zaw%2Fuploads%2F0rZ53cYSL8rgCZBsWWCp%2Fcrown.svg?alt=media\&token=1c01b7e6-eaf7-4346-bcd9-e5abb9728f54) **\[Crown]** appears next to the default account's name.

## Disable or delete an account

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Disable" %}
When you disable a social account it remains on the list, but impact.com stops using it for connected features until you enable it again.

1. From the *Connected Accounts* screen, hover over the social account and select ![](https://4048883401-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FwMLlMoFBtKJa8ptd3zaw%2Fuploads%2FaMIlbqH54V4Ow5JvT0I0%2F%5BMore%5D%20vNext%202.svg?alt=media\&token=6d5449e8-e413-48fa-b059-58ebb3e2c271) **\[More] → Disable**.
   {% endtab %}

{% tab title="Delete" %}
When you delete an account, you remove the account and its authorization from impact.com. To use it again, you'll need to add it back and reauthorize.

1. From the *Connected Accounts* screen, hover over the social account and select ![](https://4048883401-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FwMLlMoFBtKJa8ptd3zaw%2Fuploads%2FaMIlbqH54V4Ow5JvT0I0%2F%5BMore%5D%20vNext%202.svg?alt=media\&token=6d5449e8-e413-48fa-b059-58ebb3e2c271) **\[More] → Delete**.
   {% endtab %}
   {% endtabs %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important**: Disabling or deleting an account stops any feature that relies on it. Check whether the account is in use by an active amplification campaign, or is set as your default for creator discovery, before you remove it.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.impact.com/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/account-administration/program-settings/connect-social-accounts/manage-your-connected-social-accounts-as-a-brand.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
