# Connect Your Social Accounts as a Brand

Connect your brand's social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitch, and X) to impact.com from the *Connected Accounts* screen. Connecting an account unlocks features like [Instagram creator discovery in Creator Search](/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/platform-features/find-partners-and-creators/find-creators-with-creator-search.md#instagram), [amplification of your creators' content](/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/creator-program/working-with-creators/amplify-your-creator-ads/boost-ads-with-meta-amplification-for-brands.md), and the ability to [send direct Instagram messages](/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/creator-program/recruit-creators/send-an-instagram-dm-to-a-creator.md).

## What connecting an account unlocks

| Direct Instagram messaging to creators from within impact.com | Instagram Profile | Creator and Seller programs |
| Amplification—turning your creators' content into paid media campaigns | Instagram Profile | Creator and Seller programs |

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important**: Connecting an account is only the first step. Each feature has its own Meta-side setup. See [Set Up Meta Permissions for Amplification](/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/creator-program/working-with-creators/amplify-your-creator-ads/set-up-meta-permissions-for-amplification.md) or [Discover New Partners through Meta's Creator Marketplace](/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/platform-features/find-partners-and-creators/discover-new-partners-through-metas-creator-marketplace.md#sign-up-to-metas-creator-marketplace) for the requirements that apply to you.
{% endhint %}

## Prerequisites

* You must be an admin of the social account you're connecting.
* For Instagram, Meta requires additional setup before the connection will work:
  * A [professional (Business or Creator) Instagram account](https://help.instagram.com/502981923235522/).
  * Your Instagram account [linked to a Facebook Page](https://www.facebook.com/help/instagram/1372533836927082/).
  * A [created](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/1710077379203657) and [verified](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/2058515294227817) Meta business portfolio.
  * To use Creator Search's Instagram tab, you must also sign up for [Meta's Creator Marketplace](https://help.instagram.com/672550269221197/). Refer to [Discover New Partners through Meta's Creator Marketplace](/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/platform-features/find-partners-and-creators/discover-new-partners-through-metas-creator-marketplace.md) for the full requirements.

## Connect a social account

{% hint style="success" %}
**Note**: The first account you add becomes your default account for creator discovery and messaging. If you add multiple accounts, Creator Search results are ordered by relevance to this default account.
{% endhint %}

1. From the top navigation bar, select ![](https://4048883401-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FwMLlMoFBtKJa8ptd3zaw%2Fuploads%2F210dEQa93qyQgoJDkieL%2FUser%20profile.svg?alt=media\&token=f84c5b17-fae4-4a30-990a-9de5e57a150b) **\[User profile] → Settings**.
2. Navigate to the *Technical* section under *Program Settings* and select [**Connected Accounts**](https://app.impact.com/secure/advertiser/fr/connected-account/connected-accounts.ihtml).
3. In the upper-right corner, select **Add Account**.
4. On the *Add Account* screen, select the tile for the platform you want to connect: *Pinterest Profile*, *Youtube Channel*, *Twitch Profile*, *Facebook Page*, *Instagram Profile*, *X Profile*, or *TikTok Profile*.
   * Use the **Search** field to filter the list of platforms.
5. In the pop-up window, log in to the account and follow the platform's prompts to authorize impact.com.
   * For Instagram and Facebook, this opens *Facebook Login for Business*. Confirm you're signed in as the right person, select **Continue**, then choose the Page or Instagram account you want to connect.
   * Accept all requested permissions. Declining any permission may leave the connection in an unusable state.
6. When the pop-up closes, the account appears on the *Connected Accounts* screen with a connection status.
   * If you've just signed up for Meta's Creator Marketplace, it can take up to 14 days for Meta to verify your application. Instagram creator data in Creator Search won't be available until that's complete, even though your account shows as connected.

Once you've connected your social accounts, you can manage them from the *Connected Accounts* screen. Refer to [Manage Your Connected Social Accounts as a Brand](/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/account-administration/program-settings/connect-social-accounts/manage-your-connected-social-accounts-as-a-brand.md) to learn more.

## FAQ

<details>

<summary>Why can't I see the <em>Connected Accounts</em> option?</summary>

*Connected Accounts* is currently in beta and may not be available to all brands. If you're interested in accessing this feature, [contact support](https://app.impact.com/secure/advertiser/support/customer-support-portal-flow.ihtml) to get access.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I connect more than one account per platform?</summary>

Yes. You can add multiple accounts, including several from the same platform. The first one you add is used as the default for creator discovery and messaging. Refer to [Manage Your Connected Social Accounts as a Brand](/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/account-administration/program-settings/connect-social-accounts/manage-your-connected-social-accounts-as-a-brand.md) to learn more.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Why won't my Instagram account connect?</summary>

Meta requires an Instagram professional account that's linked to a Facebook Page, plus a verified business portfolio. If any of these are missing, the authorization will fail or the connection will have limited access. See [*Prerequisites* section](#prerequisites) above.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.impact.com/brand/what-would-you-like-to-learn-about/account-administration/program-settings/connect-social-accounts/connect-your-social-accounts-as-a-brand.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
